Anthropomorphic Research Project survey includes a few therians, otherkin

According to Flayrah's article from last sunday, the Anthropomorphic Research Project released the results of its survey of over 400 people who were at a furry fandom convention called Furry Fiesta 2013. 17% of these furry fans identified as therianthropes, and 5% as otherkin. This particular survey doesn't focus on therianthrope and otherkin issues.

Nuka, one of the researchers, has noted in the past that many people were confused about the meaning of the term "therian" (let alone "otherkin"), despite espousing beliefs/wishes which seem in line with therianthropy, so the actual proportion of therians may be slightly higher than documented. The team's prior research (//www.flayrah.com/4070/arp-survey-furries-vs-fursonas-therians-non-furs-artists) suggests that therians within furry fandom act as "more furry furries", but I do not know whether this extends to therians more generally.
